Every moment people are pouring their souls onto the internet.
They do it because they can’t imagine not doing it.
I call them Good Follows (or GFs for short).
In the old days people made livelihoods through their unique abilities with spreadsheets or teaching old people how to use computers.
Today GFs are able to make a livelihood doing what they’re uniquely good at because of the robust distribution powers of the internet.
But there’s a catch. A monkey’s paw.
In a world where powerful distribution tools are available to everyone, they are available to everyone.
This includes bad actors, virality actors and massively funded entities.
So it’s easier to get in the club, but harder to stand out from the crowd.
